Hey Whass up RX-8 heads, I just hooked up 2 Sony X-plod 10's in box with a Sony X-plod 480 watt amp to my Bose System and it helps out the system big time! I mounted the amp on the back side of the box and placed the box vertically instead of flat down speakers up. I felt this way was the best because it saved much of my trunk space and fix totally flush looking very professional. In addition with the amp on the back side no wires are showing or getting in the way of the trunk. The box I got just happen to be the perfect size for the rx-8 and doesn't move or flex when I'm hitting hard turns, because the rear Bose speakers are holding the box in place. I hooked the subs easily by going through the rear speakers and then to the battery for power, pretty basic and simple! Now the Bose system rocks and is up to par, when I go up to 20 on the volume it's super loud and sick! If any of you Rx-8 owners think the Bose isn't that good I would def recommend hooking up some subs and start thumping away! Peace...

 

I was thinking of getting a self-powered subwoofer... we'll see though.
