Key for Remote Starter '06

I've got an '06 and I'm having the hardest time finding a key for the immobilizer. I can get a key for the switchblade, but even that doesn't have the chip. The chip is in the keyless entry remote.

Has anyone installed a remote starter in an '06 and where did you get the chip for the immobilizer? I'd also like to get a key with a chip so I don't have to carry around the switchblade.

I have a remote starter, but my car is an 04. Does the immobilizer come stock on the 06s?

i dont know about 06's, but at my shop we did an 05 with remote start that had the switchblade key, and the customer just went o dealer and purchased one of the regular keys like the 04's have and we programmed it for him. cost him about 40 for 2 keys, and programming is easy

No secondary keys for '06

The problem is unique for the '06. Apparently Mazda decided to eliminate the secondary key for the '06. Mazda also says that the secondary key for the older models won't work with the '06.

So, if anyone has installed a remote starter in a 2006, please let me know how you did it.

Thanks,
Phredd

bump.

im also interested. went to go ask about the remote start today and no luck. basically the problem is that it is keyless start and the remote start system would disable that part of the car and would require you to use a real key. is there a way?
