Key remote won't unlock trunk
My key remote just stopped unlocking the trunk. It still locks/unlocks the doors. I have to unlock the trunk with the actual key. Is there a certain fuse for it? Any ideas what could be causing this? I won't have access to a voltmeter until probably tomarrow. Thanks

I haven't used the remote for opening the trunk since I found that little button above the license plate.
*Depends on if you have the keyfob though*
Anyway, good luck

If you have the keyfob -
1. Go outside
2. Stand behind your car.
3. Kneel down and look for a little black button on the underside of the lip that hangs over your license plate.
** It should be to the right of the plate. If you push it while you have the keyfob in your pocket, the trunk opens.....

hey, thanks! that's all it was. i forgot all about that. what is the point of that button in the glove box anyways?

No prob man. The button is....because there are Valet keys that only open the doors and not the trunk , passthrough or the glove box. So If you were to go somewhere to eat like at a nice restuarant you push in the button for the trunk lock and lock your glove box and passthrough with your key and keep it with you. Then you give the Valet your Valet key. The Valet key only allows them to start the car and to open the doors and lock the doors without the alarm. The Valet key wont let them open the glove box, the passthrough from the interior to the trunk or the trunk itself. (Glove box can contain your car registration and insurance and other important documents which have your full name and adresse which can lead to indetity theft....the trunk lock is if you have something you dont wanna carry with you but doesnt fit in the glove box you put it in the trunk for safe keeping.....

I kept hitting the button while the keys were in my pocket. I guess from having them in my pocket while in the house. Kept finding the trunk popped ajar. And I've got some junk in the trunk. Disabled it with the button and it hasn't happened again in over a year and 1/2.

We just talked about this button on here like a week ago and there were 4 or 5 of us that had my problem. I don't think ANYONE actually uses the real valet key for their car.
More for what reason now?

^ I have mine, I use it all the time when I go to CarWashes, get an Oil Change, or (when I Had warranty) would have to leave it at the dealer overnight or a couple days. My brother used to have a civic with two Pioneer Amps behind the rear seats and A Custom Sub box...(trunk area u can say) and when he picked up his civic (back when 91 civics were cool) the two amps were missing. That was about $700 worth in amps...
