Kicker 15 l7 Fit ?

I have a 15 Inch Kicker L7 Square
I don't guess this is going to fit very well, If at all ?
I was really looking at the Zenclousure boxes on eBay
But I don't suppose you could fit a 15 in there could you ?
If not, I guess I'll have to find a 12 L7 ?

holy crap! a 15 foot sub in an rx8... yeah I could see how that might fail...

but steakboy42 has a KILLER Soundstream 15 in his trunk - here is the link to his thread but the picture doesn't work anymore

https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/soundstream-t4-15-8-a-75494/

It took up ALL of the trunk except the 6 inches or so closest to the trunk lid... it was all spider themed (if i remember correctly) so it had a grill that looked like a spider.. he said he got about 136 DB at a drag one time.. I wonder if anyone saved that pic or if he could repost it... PM him - see if he can help

Completely custom box probably requiring fiberglass, to be done right. No worth your time unless you're going for bragging rights.

Of course when two 12"s out perform you, guess you won't have much to brag about.

Yeah, I think I'm going to sell this kicker 15 and either get a kicker 12 or some other nice 12 inch woofer.
If anyone is interested, let me know.
It is basically brand new.
Thanks for the help.

i have a 12" L7 with the zenclosure box and it just barely fits. i would definitely recommend that setup though. the hole is flush with the very bottom and top pieces of wood in the box. here's the best pic of mine i could find. as you can see there is no room left on the bottom.

Thanks guys, especially for the picture.
That helped alot !
I've decided to sell the 15 and grab the 12.
I also have the Kicker ZX1000 Amp like nuke.
Actually his might be the 750, either way. Great amps.

It is. And yes they are. I've beat the hell out of several 750.1's. Kicked them in and out of protection 100's of times. They always come back for more. 0.5 ohm loads anyone?

I've got a 12 inch L5 same setup as nuke, it hits nicely inside the car with minimal exterior bass. Mine is running off a 750.1. I drove home to visit my parents a couple weeks ago(8 hour drive), and it made it there without protection, but I drove in the middle of the night. On the way back I hit protection like 4 times - touching it was painful haha, still runs like a champ though!

15L7 vs. 12L7

I have a 12L7 and would have to say that it's about as big of a woofer as you'd want given the size of the trunk, unless you try to go with something made with fiberglass. The 12L7 will shake everything and then some.

I've got 2 12" Soundstream R1's in my trunk, I wouldn't go any bigger though unless it's just for noise/looks etc. I'm pretty sure I could get my car into the 140's if we took the time to tune it but it's not built for that anyway.

where can I get an enclosure like that? Was thinking of cramming L7 15, but now looking into one or two 12's

I've got a zenclosure I'm not going to use that's for 2 12" subs. $100 + shipping takes it. Same as pictured here: https://www.ebay.com/itm/381923187092

Looks like a Zen Enclosures box. There's a few brand names making these last I checked.

If box depth ends up being an issue for a modern L7, Kicker now makes an L7T that will certainly fit. Don't think there's a 15" though. Not sure there's enough height in the 8's trunk right there anyway? For the 15" and the enclosure around it?
