Question Leather Console Box Covers

Has anybody installed these and if so are they any good? They seem like it would look nice to break up the black.

Hi from the UK
Yes I had a set bought me for Xmas. They are quite easy to fit and do give the car a better quality feel inside. The padding is much nicer to lean your elbow on. In my opinion though Mazda should have made these standard in it,s "Flag Ship" car. They are over priced though cost about £89 Gb pounds over here from my local dealer. Go for it i would say.

Too overpriced IMO.
I wouldn't complain if they were standard, but I'm not paying that much to add them on.

Did you guys get them from Japanparts.com or somewhere else? Considering the cost to add the leather partking brake, they are really not that overpriced. Or we can say that all the stuff is over priced. Also, are they same leather to match the seats?

I bought my leather console covers from Canzoomer. Yes they are a bit expensive, but they look great. I agree they should have came with the car in the first place. The leather is the same kind used on the seats so they match excellent. :D

I'll have to get them in black--cause the taupe probably doesn't match my aftermarket tan.

Are these still $260 for a set from CZ? And are these Mazda parts?

Last I checked they were 130 or 135 each from CZ. My belief is that they are are Mazda Japan parts. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Also I believe they were cheaper on Japanparts.com, but I have not figured it all out with the added cost of shipping.

I finally got mine. I ordered them from MazdaParts.com. $270.00 for both. I can't wait to install them.

Is there any way to get these in black leather with tan stiching, to match the tan stiching on the Chaparral seats? Sort of like on the Shinka? I'd prefer that to the tan leather.

Good question. The only ones I have seen are from Mazda Japan and they are solid colors to match the seats.

Anyone have a pict of the underside of these pieces. Are these just covers or do they replace the entire lid? I broke mine and the dealer is giving me a hard time about it.

Kachud:

They are complete replacement lids. The rear lid is sorta a lid on a lid (the leather sits over the plastic lid and the front is a complete replacement. I love the look to match my red/black leather shift **** and brake handle

Covered my own with some black leather, simply took apart streched wet leather over and stappled to the underside. Rear cover clips off the front is screwed on.
Very easy to do.

Pictures, now that would be nice. I have yet to take a picture of my car The instructions (I mean pictures, becasue it's all in Japanese) seem easy enough. Also, they are both complete replacment lids. For some reason the back piece is two separate pieces. I don't know why because I have not installed them yet. Depending on how it looks I would like to get the E-Brake too.
