Having never installed an aftermarket amp before, I have been reading the FAQ and researching....

I have a BOSE system.

One thing I can't seem to find an answer for...

If I add an aftermarket amp...

by tapping the the lines just before the BOSE amp in the back with a LOC...

then RCA cables from the LOC to the aftermarket amp...

Will the factory dash/steering wheel volume controls still work?

Anyone?

 

The controls for the steering wheel go straight from the wheel to the HU, so as long as you keep the stock head unit the steering wheel controls should work just fine. As far as the dash buttons go, I'm assuming you mean either buttons on the HU or climate controls. Both of those should still work as well.

 

Cool, just as long as my regular volume **** controls the volume with an aftermarket amp, then I'm happy. I dont want some gimpy clunky aftermarket volume control stuck to the dash.

 

Yep. Same with every car.
