Looking for a good car alarm
I am looking for the best car alarm that fits me. I want it to be one of the ones that if you get within 5 or so feet it will warn your ***. I have a bunch of little freshmen ***** who love to egg **** etc. I am looking at the vipers but, I couldent figure out which ones have the feature of not letting people come near your car. Thanks a bunch guys/girls!

Stick with DEI products. (Viper, Python, Clifford, Hornet, Valet, etc) They are widely known and available everywhere. So if you ever need add-ons parts or service, they'll be there for you. On that note, all of their alarm brains are guaranteed for life.
The next item you want is a proximity sensor. Pretty sure no alarms come with that, but it is available for cheap. Don't just crank the sensitivity up and hope for the best. You'll get nothing but false alarms.
Lastly, if you have hoods egging cars..... don't park there. That's by far the best prevention you can do. Park across the street or down the block and walk.

+1. i have always been a fan of viper's. good alarms, great distance on their remote starts. my last viper would remote start from the 11th floor on the backside of a concrete high rise building with my work van across the street... i was really impressed. i dont have the remote start part hooked up on my 6 seed. i just got a viper 791xv NIB. i will install it tuesday...pm me if you want to know the results. i install car alarms and have posted the wire colors and locations in this thread (https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-interior-audio-electronics-24/rx8-wire-colors-locations-177199/). but please dont be stupid and not test your wires first...
