I Figured that devoid
im not a big system guy liek you
all im looking for is simple add-on's like the dvd thru navi screen.
so if anyone is as happy as me.
she has it in, but im at work and she closes in 1hr after i get off and im not rushing to get it.so it will have to wait till tommorow but she did say its like the AVE unit that i explained to her.
so far price will be in the 3 range so probably at $350 i guess.

hey Kel tell us more...then maybe our vendors can sell it
also there are several other options that cost less but the reason the AVE unit costs more is it is a complex switcher/splitter with an RF remote, svideo input, and backup cam input that is ground activated (meaning the nav's reverse signal ground can be tapped so the backup cam turns on in reverse)...the advantage of a splitter/swithcer is so you can have 4 monitors displaying 4 seperate inputs or 4 monitors displaying 1 input or any other combination
Plus the AVe's RF remote can be copied by the Homelink buttons and so your not having another remote floating around the car

im sure the AVE unit has more options
like 4 inputs but i could be wrong.
i need it for one simple thing
so no reverse,more display unit's input,etc.
just a simple dvd player thru oem navi screen and i hope that everthing looks
good tommorow one way or another i will have spec, pixs or the unit tommorow
im saving up for side skirts so for me to get this now will put me in a bind.
but we are close friends so i will see what i can work out

1st pix shows the side that connects the red & blk wire to power and ground(easy one lol)
blue for 12v power source example-rear camera, or in this case im use it for the dvd power up and power up this unit.
yellow one to a external dvd player.
2nd pix is the rgb connector
and toggle switch for manual use but im probably gonna rip it out cause im use the blue wire for on/off switch but im leave for now till all is safe.
3rd pix shows connecting from unti to 2 connectors each connector has 4 wires

1st pix shows the connecting i was referring to
4 wires for each connector.you have to cut the rgbs wires from navi to display.
2nd pix the top 4 wires show connect to the display
3rd pix shows the 4 wires that connect to the naviagtion unit.

same way you program any other homelink device
just use the top/left button on the AV electronic remote...press it and the homelink button you want to program at the same time....keep holding and wait for the homelink light turn to a slow blinking (programming) to a fast blinking (programming complete)
if you have more than one monitor hooked up to the avbox do the same procedure with a different homelink button the the corresponding button for the additional monitors
