Looking for a Optima D35R battery...

Hey guys. I need to replace my stock battery as it is beginning to show signs of death (I doubt it would survive all of next winter). I've done some searching around here and it appears people love the 35 series from Optima.

I *think* I am rolling with the yellow-top because there is a 50/50 chance I will one day add in a 700-1000W amp or something and a 10" sub. Now, I almost never run my stereo when I am not actually driving around, and I would likely do the same with even an amp/sub.

Do I really need to go with the yellow-top, or is red more than enough or perhaps a better option?

Finally, any reputable seller that sells these at a fair price and sells the "R" version so I dont have to extend any cables?

Thanks as always!

I am using RedTop, it works fine so far.

I still on stock Bose. so that might be why

but I dont really enjoy listening to music, I do listen to them, just not gonna blast it like some idiots do. In my world, I like to sit at home to enjoy music.

I have a 3-4 year old Yellow top from my bro's old car (totaled) thats collecting dust now, it worked fine on my bro's old now gone car. no problems at all.

You can get one at Autozone, but they "overpriced it" then ask you to send in a MIR. which ends up about the same as buying them online + shipping charges. Good thing about buying from Autozone kind of places is that if your Optima dies within 3 years, you can just bring it back and they will change it for you for free. no need to mail it back like online shops.

now that you mention it, i did get a military discount on mine, so it wasn't too bad.

forgot to add too, i have the yellow top. i've had my radio blasting a few times for a while. got in my car later and it started right up, no problem at all.
