mazda shock sensor upgrade

Hey guys I was just wandering if anybody has added the shock sensor upgrade to their alarm system. What is involved in installing it ( is it simple or is it something the dealer should do?), and is it worth it? Thanks

Check it out in the DIY thread. It shouldn't be too hard.

There's another thread in DIY that tells you what the instructions don't tell you also.

Thanks guys, looks to be a pretty easy install. Guess my big question now is it more trouble than its worth.

Debatable. Really, you get it with the hopes that it is more trouble than it's worth. That is, you get it hoping it never has a reason to go off. Fortunately, mine's only gone off twice due to large trucks passing near by while I had the sensitivity way up. But it might be time for me to re-calibrate it.

I thought it was a pretty easy install. If it ever deters anyone from messing with my car, it was worth every cent and every drop of sweat (it was summer in Alabama when I installed it).

I figured ~$50 is not too much to invest on something that piggybacks on an existing system. Compared to a whole new system it's a steal (oxymoron). Especially since you can keep your existing key fob and not have to worry about the install complexities of a new system.
