Is the Metra kit the lowest price for Aftermarket install kit?

Ok, I searched some and did some reading but is the one for Metra for like 180 the lowest price I can get for my 2005 RX8? It seem pretty high. I want to install the Alpine W200 in my car and looks like this is the only kit? Also has anyone used this headunit before and it works well? Will the PAC SWI-JACK STEERING WHEEL REMOTE INTERFACE - SWIJACK work with this headunit and the steering wheel? Someone please help me out, it looks like the little things like this kit is going to cost me a whole lot more then I had thought, lmk
thanks
Dan

read these before you get flamed into a cinder:

the metra kit is the cheaper of the two options. The other one being the Corksport.

Get all your prices (kit, HU, Installation, pacswi, etc) before worrying about if you have enough money.

I am currently in the proccess of installing a pioneer avic-x910bt with the metra kit. The metra kit is cheaper than the corksport kit. I ordered from cruchfield if you purchase a HU over a certain price they give you the metra kit at 50% off which was $90 from them. It is my understanding that the steering wheel interface is incompatible with the rx8 if you go on PAC website it does not list it as a product for the rx8. If you do purchase from crutchfield call them before ordering they gave me a better deal over the phone than their internet price.

Yea, I was reading that first thread, it is a bit long, it's like a book. That second link doesn't work at all. So has anyone gotten the PAC SWI and know if it will work well or does it only work with some of the aftermarket headunits? I appreciate everyone that is helping me out, thanks
