Hello,

I just bought a 2007 RX8 grand touring AUTO with the Bose deal.

I want to replace the stereo as quickly as possible, and I am stuck in the planning stage. I am interested in the metro kit as I already have an Alpine 9855J which allows me to do a 2 way active. However, I am also interested in something like the Audison BitOne or JBL MS8. If this would give better sound than the Alpine, great! But I have my doubts about great sound from factory head units.

I plan to use Arc audio amps, but also undecided about other speakers. Since the door whole are so big, I was thinking about putting really nice 8s and leave out a sub completely. If anyone has any ideas or experience about what is good for this car, please let me know.

I primarily listen to drumnbass and dubstep, if that info helps.

I think he was just suggesting that there is a lot of information on the site that you could find using the search function. That's generally the number one response to new posters, not necessarily being unfriendly. Good luck with your search and enjoy your rx8. Make sure to treat her right!!!!

 

Sounds like you know quality gear. Now couple it with a quality install. Go with a 3-way component set in a custom install up front.

And you'd be out of your F-in mind to run equipment like that off the stock headunit. Illegal in some states.
