Mini Amplified Subwoofer

Has anyone ever tried to add a miniature amp/sub system like this:

http://www.woofersetc.com/p9218/BASS...el-Control.htm

or this:

http://www.woofersetc.com/p6741/CLAS...-Subwoofer.htm

to the bose system? I'm thinking it would add something on the bottom, plus not take up a ton of trunk space. (I also want to hang on to my spare tire ...). Also, where do you think the best mounting location would be? Thanks!

I have this one
http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_...e-R300-10.html

It's not as small as those but it takes up very little room in the truck and sounds really good. I've heard one's like you posted before, and they don't sound that bad but you'll have to put it under your seat cause you won't hear it if it's in the trunk.

There's not enough room under the RX seats with any room left for passanger feet (though it could be set up as removable). I wonder if mounting it on the V-bar just behind the passenger seatback would work, esp if the plastic piece cutting off the car from the trunk were removed. It's anyway a bit hard to see how one gets a clean sound from the normal trunk-mounted sub with all that stuff in the way.

i removed those plastic parts and puts metal straps around the support bars to secure my sub box in the trunk, works great

i have my 8" mounted under the passenger side seat, sound quality is great, feet will not slide under the seat, so if i have a back seat passenger they have to sit on the driver rear seat which is no big deal
