Mounting Sirius Radio

I installed my AuxMod, but now want to find a way to install the receiver. The ProClip that mounts on the side of the center console looks to be the best option. Call me picky, but from the pics the bracket appears to stick out from the center console.

So... if anyone could post some pics of their ProClip and/or comments I would appreciate. I did find a few threads with some more pics... but the more the merrier. Also any other ideas appreciated. This is the RCA Sirius unit, forget the model... but the ashtray is out for installation ideas. Like to have it in the console vicinity... thinking the ProClip is the way to go.

try using the "search" function xeony2k- there are a number of pics on the board, in the DIY section... that's where i found them before i bought my proclip.

it really doesn't take much room away from the passenger compartment at all. remember the center console front is curved a bit, and the proclip bracket is square... so it is nearly flush with the side of the center console until it gets up near the front, where it sticks out from the curved front part of the center console, which gives you room to mount things without covering up the stereo or heat and a/c controls...

i have a cell phone hang-up cup mounted on mine, and it is a great product... no holes to drill, stays in place, and looks good, nearly factory.... my interior is black, so it blends right in... highly recommended...

Thanks I probably already saw most of the pics, just looking for something along the lines of your comment in terms of its fit. The pics on this board pretty much echo the pics on the ProClip site... I was wondering how the fit was in comparison with the curved console. I think I'm going to order it and will snap a pic of the clearance at the top. In fact now that I think about it, the gap will probably allow for some coverage of the three wires I have to run to the unit... audio, power and antenna.

Can't do wrong with the ProClip, wires can be easily tucked away behind the clip.

You will need to mount the unit of center or it will interfere with your controls of your radio and heating buttons.

I mounted mine between the rear veiw mirror and the wind shield. I tucked the wires through the headliner. It fit perfectly up there, just put a small tab of velcrow to hold the top in place. Gives me an airplane **** pit feel. I have had it up there about 2 months and it hasn't budged. I like it.
