I toyed with one at a dealer, navigation is a bit awkward, Disc /\ and Disk \/ buttons change directories on the disc, and seek up and down (or the steering wheel up and down buttons) change files in that directory. Shuffle mode will randomly move between files in the currently selected directory only, and to view a long track title, you have to manually scroll through the name with the text ****. Sound quality was great though, even on lower quality .mp3's. I still may get one, but I already blew my accessory budget on the Borla Exhaust, which sounds better than ANY .mp3 player.. :-)

There are good threads on install and functionality on this board. Give a search a try. I enjoy my mp3 player, hands down better than the single try loader or the 6 disc player.

I love my MP3 player.... downloading from site is not a problem as the annual fee is much lower to the songs I want from overseas...

It's a one-for-one swap in place of the standard CD player or 6-disc changer. It's essentially a single-CD player that can also read the MP3 format off a burned CD-R.

Do a search on the forum, you'll find installation instructions. There seems to be a few that installed it themselves. I'm not really good at doing such things so I had the dealer install mine. They charged for 1 hour labor.

Don't know about your dealer, but he should be able to order it for you. You would probably be able to get it faster and cheaper from Trussville though. (No affiliation, etc. Just a satisfied customer.)

Talking

Try your Dealer first. I bought mine threw the Dealer for $260.00. I just asked him to match the Trussville price and he did. The install was not too bad. Study the install instructions and pictures in the install post. There is a metal bracket with four screws under the stearing wheel. Make sure you take it off It only takes a minute and it displays the hidden screw on the left side of the radio. Also make sure you push the connectors back on tight. I didn't have the display connector in tight and didn't have the display lit up when I was done. It only took 15 min to take it apart and put it back together the second time. If anyone is in the northern Ill area I would glad to assist.

I just ordered mine today. Yep, I decided to replace the CD changer. Ordered it from Trussville. The shipping is less than the sales tax would be locally, and they heve it in stock!
Looking forward to the installation.

Ordered ours when we picked up the car from the dealership. Was told it would take up to 2 months for it to arrive and it was there in a week. Got it installed and loving it. Only problem is I wish it would have the automatic scrolling text like most newer aftermarket radios have. Display is boring but sound is awesome. Just be sure to use the smaller disk size. The MP3 player does not handle 80 min disks very well.

Easy install. 1hr labor is about right. Of course, the guys at the dealer ship being pro's, it really should take them only 15 minutes. The extra 45 minutes is for finding the damn bolt on the drivers side of the unit.

I've been thinking about this. It's probably better to have a manual scroll so that the driver isn't tempted to watch the display instead of the road. Then manually scrolling while at a red light or something like that would be safer.

Thanks for the "heads-up" since I don't even know if I have anything smaller than 700 MB CDR's right now!
