MP3 player????

Hi everyone, I am new here and have been reading lots of posts trying to get as much info as I can. I am looking at getting an RX-8 sometime soon to replace my Z06. Love the Vette, but its just too much of a brute for a daily driver especially with all the mods I did to it. Not to mention a lower monthly payment will come in handy with my upcoming move to LA. I am out here now staying with some friends until our house gets built, then the official move happens.

Anyway, my question is, where can I find some info about the MP3 player? I saw a reference to it in the accessories PDF that you can download from mazdausa.com but the dealer I went to last night had no idea about it.

Is it a single cd player that can play MP3s? Or is it a device with removeable media like CF? I did a search but couldnt find any solild info.

Pretty sure it is a single disk CD player that also reads MP3 encoded disks.

Use the search button and search for MP3; you'll find a lot of info this way. To answer your question, it plays CDs with MP3s burned onto them; it's not removeable or a HD MP3 player. Being that you are new here, I'd like to introduce myself. I am the guy that warns new members about the search button. It is your friend, if you ask a question that has already been answered (numerous times) and can easily be answered with a search, people will flame the hell out of you. I have seen it done many times, and I sympathize with both parties. If for some reason the search doesn't work, then post a question. Welcome to the forum, there's a lot of knowledge here so enjoy and contribute when you can.

::EDIT::
I apologize, there wasn't as much info as I expected. Try this:

Or you can asks Trussville Mazda in the Vendors forum; they have a history of being very helpful and of having great prices.

i'd personally just get an ipod, and your local car audio place can hook it up to your system. shouldn't cost more than $100 for them to do. just my 2 cents

Maybe that is not as easy as it sounds?

LOL @ Kratley, bustin on the noobie with the search function. I knew someone would put that in there, this isnt my first forum :P Heck I am a mod at c5.com, but anyway I see that you tried to search just as I did. When I did it, it came back with a ton of hits, just none that were really relavent (that I could see) to what I was asking.

Thanks to all that replied with the info and links. Its a single CD player that will play MP3s burned to a CD. That is all I needed to know. I had one of them in my old car and it was absolutely the coolest thing I had done to the car.. well short of dropping 2.5 seconds in the 1/4 mile from its stock time

It is a single CD player that replaces the CD player that is in the car. The radio and amp ect is all separate so you will be only replacing the CD player. There is very good instuctions pictures ect if you search. I replaced mine in a hour for $260.00.
