MTX amps?

Antone care to comment on the quality of MTX amps?

please respond if you have experience with them.

I used to spend LOADS of cash on high quality audio gear only to have it stolen months later, i'm not that same person anymore who wants to keep throwing money away - especially when insurance wants to hit you for a deductable.

at any rate, i'm just trying to get some un-biased opinions. I want to add some slight punch to our base system and the MTX seems to be right on the money.

I love MTX amps.

I think they are the best bang for the buck around. I like their construction, their performance, and their features.

I have used their amps on two seperate occasions up to this point and and have had no issues with them. No one else I know has had issues with them, but I bet with all popular brands someone has.

Awhile back they had a contest where if anyone could tell the difference between their amps and Rockford Fosgate (who were arguably the most popular at the time), they would give you a bunch of money. No one was able to collect the money.

For the forseeable future I don't plan to use anything else. MTX amps, Focal seperates, and JL subs are my favorites.

Ps. I don't have experience with many of the cheap brands. There might be a diamond in the rough there.

that's pretty much all i was looking for...

i used to use PPI amps, Phaze Audio mids and JL subs...

i'm done with the high dollar amps, especially when it all goes into bass, it's just not worth it anymore :-)

i'm leaning towards a JL 8W0 with a properly sized MTX amp glassed in the cubby door between the rear seats.

I like em to drive deck speakers and such. But never quite liked them for any sub. Maybe it's just me?
