my new aftermarket head unit in nav position

i just got my car back from the audio shop after they spent a week on it. i had the bose system originally. switched out the front speakers for rainbow slc 265 kick components, and added a rainbow hammer 10" sub in the back in a 4080 style enclosure. they are running off an audison millennium power 5 amp. the headunit is running the stock speakers in the back for some rear fill, i only switch them on if i have rear passengers.

so anyway they modified the stock center panel for me to put in my new head unit, the jvc avx2. it plays divx/xvid, dvds, mp3s etc and is absolutely awesome. got some preliminary pics of the panel / unit, more to follow with a proper camera once ive cleaned it all up.

love the gloss black center dash piece but the lines seem a little off, looks good anyway. what is the existing HU doing now?

i think the lines show up a lot more in the pics than in person, it is barely noticeable. the existing hu is doing nothing - it still works (hvac unaffected), but its not hooked up to anything obviously.

That is awesome, i saw that JVC unit at American a while back, good choice! I hope my setup looks half as good with the Corksport kit.

I was thinking of doing the piano black on the center dash too, but it's mostly sunny here where I'm located. Wouldn't the center dash be glaring when the sun is shining down on it?

Yes I can and will build these panels. This panel is available in multiple forms. I would need to know which one you have. You can use any of these 3 panels to start the work from. I build these up to the point that they are finish ready, meaning once you get them, take them into a shop and have them primered and painted to match your 8.

(1) center channel speaker, non nav.
(2) center channel speaker, with nav
(3) no center speaker, blank panel.
