NAV 2005-1 Maps

I ordered them and i'm now using them in my rx8.. Question though.. if you go under setup and system info.. it says my software version is 2003.7 Can anyone else with the 2005-1 NAV maps confirm this (that it shows 2003.7 for their 2005-1 disc)

Thanks.

because they are unrelated

one is navteqs labeling scheme

the other is Mazda (well panasonic in conjunction with Microware OS contracted out)

.7 is revision 7 or revision 4 (if odd labeling scheme)

talk to FLYBOYINDY to confirm or Thew...flyboy has had the disc for a month or more, Thew has had an updated disc for several months (may not be as new as this one but darn close)

Red face old map dvd

I'm retrofitting a mazda3 with the navigation system. I don't have a map disk. Can anyone who has upgraded thier map disk, help me to get an old map disk. I realize that I'll probably have to buy the new disk from NavTech, but i'm trying to not spend too much more in the short term. Thanks, bilzfan

I recently tried out a MS6 nav disc on my 8. It's also a 2005 disc, but my nav player was unable to read the disc. Do you suppose it requires a newer firmware than the one Mazda gave out a while back? The MS6 had newer/different nav features also.

I also played around with the remote joystick. Now I understand what the infrared panel on the nav monitor is for.

Is this the same nav disc?
