need help w/ rotary rasp footwell LED

I recently bough Rotary Rasp's footwell LED set and have been trying to install them all weekend but i've been running into some snags...i figure i'd ask for some help...

alright, so in order to have them set up to turn on with the dome lights
you have to tap into a blue wire/ red strip...then ground the LED strips into a Green wire w/ black stripe.

unfortunately, under the dash, theres 3 different bundles of wires and some on them reuse wire patterns...

so when i initially installed the lights my first issue was that i got them to turn on but they wouldn't turn off...at all. they'd stay on, and then they would also blink w/ my left turn signal.

so i tried again w/ a different bundle of wires. and when i tried again to what i thought was the right wires they didnt turn on at all...i thought i tapped into the right wires..but perhaps not?

any ideas what i'm doing wrong?

Yeah....you tapped into the wrong wires more than once. Didn't Rodger send you the instructions that had pictures? I know the bundles can be confusing, but you have to make sure you have the right ones! Especially the green/black. Green with black stripe means the majority of the outer sleeve is green and a small black stripe. I know alot of people that first grabbed what turned out to be a black wire(mostly black) with a green stripe.
I'll see if I can locate the pictures for you, but I think they are buried in his original thread concerning selling these.

Look again really hard. It might take awhile to really assure yourself they are the right ones.
If I could, I'd go look and tell you exactly where.......but it's dark and getting darker.

I'm coming up with the same problem. When I get the wires connected they always stay on. I want them to be like the doors. I can't find the correct red/blue wire. I got the black green one done.

anyone figure this out yet. I got mine wired in yesterday and made sure I had the harness going into the door. I tried first with the small blue wire with a red stripe and the green with black. They stayed on continuously. Next I tried the blue with red strip and the black with a green stripe... same thing. Next i tried both grounds with the red with blue stripe nothing. I think I'm going to go crazy. I know these wires are the right ones, because i ended up pulling the wires through the door just to make sure they are the right set. Any ideas anyone?
