New owner :)

Just purchased an 04 Touring.

I have an MTX Thunder 6000 8 and am looking at building a slim line box in the trunk passing through the back seat tunnel. The thiele small paremeters indicate I should use a 2" port that is 8.5" long.

So, first question. Does anyone know if you can use a right elbow in the port? My box design is only about 6" deep and I will need to turn the port.

Second. Is there a simple way to integrate a subwoofer into the Bose audio system, or should I plan on upgrading the HU in order to add the woofer?

Thanks,

Elbows are no problem. Port length is to be measured down the center of the tube. Port diameter and length will be determined from a combination of enclosure volume and desired tuning frequency. Don't think what's written in the owner manual are hard and fast rules. I suggest some box modeling software.

Use a line output converter off the rear speakers. Then install amp and sub as usual.
