In the process of building a new pod to contain my Dell Axim which has GPS, MP3, Video, and WiFi internet. A mini "CarPC" if you will.

There's thousands of videos out there about building parts with fiberglass. It's not hard to do with practice but it does require you to put in the effort and time to prep, lay it down, fit it, sand, fill, sand, fill, sand, fill, fit it again... paint, etc...

Of course I fiberglassed in the car. Done it many times before with other cars and my own. Why not? I have a ventilated garage if your speaking of fumes.

I should also mention the fiberglass piece was taken out of the car after curing, and is now being used as a reverse mold.

That's it exactly! The stuff is so easy to work with and shape. A bit on the messy side though.

For only a very short time. Like I said, after the resin hardens enough I pulled it out to fully cure.

FG cloth is different from say FG fibers used in insulation.

I'm working on finishing the shape of the pod now. Just takes time.

Was on hold for awhile. Too much else going on. It's 90% completed. Some final pod fitment, sanding, then prep for paint.

On a side note, how much did those carbon fiber center pieces cost you? I would love to do that if I could find them for under 400 dollars !!
