You still listen to tapes?
Must be at least 5 years since I last played a tape.

I'm about to buy a tape player. Tired of FM modulation with XM. Sound quality is horrible.

Shouldn't be a problem, just get the dealer to install it and add the cost into the price. Although it would be cheaper to install it yourself later.

bowman do you know how much your mazda dealer charges on labor? Just curious cause I don't know how to install and don't know anyone who could just figured might as well do at the time of sale if that was possible to get it added to the loan I would be getting

An OEM mp3 player is on my wish list for the spring and I'm planning on a DIY install. You may be able to negotiate a good price with car purchase but I wouldn't hold my breath. Below are a couple of links that might come in handy.

haggle with them to see if they can add the tape deck for you for free (you pay cost of tape deck; they cover installation cost)

I got my OEM MP3 kit with my car. they swapped the 6 disc and the MP3 player for free.
i had one dealer tell me they were gonna do that and then charge me 200 to install it... you can prolly get it installed free of charge if you press the issue.. i didnt even have to.

If you order the car with the mp3 player it comes in like that right off the truck, hence no charge.
