So I'm at 48,500 miles, and suddenly my navigation has started freezing up on me. 2 weeks ago on the drive home from Vegas it brings up a screen saying the DVD is loading, but never goes away. I stop for gas, turn the car back on and it works fine again. Then I get the same "loading" screen again on the rest of the drive. Now this week, I turn it on, map a destination, then it goes black, brings up Mazda screen, goes to next screen, then back to black. Continue series of screens... Even if turned off and back on, I'm getting nothing now.

I have to take it into the dealer later this week for some last-minute-before-warranty-expires repairs, but he's not sure it'll be covered by warranty, and I doubt I'm going to want to pay cash for repairing it.

So I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar? Maybe it's a bad disc? Or maybe I should just look into turning it into a DVD player and forego the navigation? Interested in any feedback / suggestions. Thanks guys.
