Wink OEM TO RCA adaptor

Alright here goes i took out my Bose 6CD sounds system since it was not working. And bought a Pioneer Multimedia AVIC-Z140BH, When i got the box and opened it i noticed the plug had RCA fittings *i belive there called RCA*

Now i was wondering if there any premade adaptors to turn the RX8 OEM plug to RCA plus like the ones in my picture or ill need to Snip and turn them into RCA wires myself?

Awayting some info tyvm

You'll want to use the other harness that came with the AVIC. Should be black and plugs in just above the little 10A red fuse on the back. If you're not hooking up any aftermarket amplifiers or a rear view cam, you won't even need the harness pictured. And here's some insight on what you'll have to do to integrate into the Bose system.

From the FAQ thread at the top of the forum

Sorry. Nothing premade. But NO need to snip off anything.

As a side note, I was trying to make a little integration board for this exact reason. I got screwed by some Chinese parts suppliers and eventually lost interest/free time.

Please read the FAQ thread at the top of the forum.

You need to purchase Metra's installation kit. For the love of god, do not snip off the factory harness. If you want my honest opinion, you sound like you're in over your head. Please take it to a professional. The headunit install in an RX8 is nothing like any other vehicle. It's FAR from plug and play and the instructions are no where near complete enough to walk an inexperienced installer through it. Have Best Buy order the Metra kit for you and install it. They're far more experienced than you are (No offense, but they do installs every day). Their labor is guaranteed for life. And with all the bugs people have been having with Metra's Axxess box, it would be nice for them to have to deal with the problems versus you ripping your dash apart 15 times and shipping your box around the country.

Probably right around $150. The advantage of buying the kit from Best Buy is that if a piece of it turns out to be faulty/buggy, it's their responsibility to replace it. If you bring them the kit, it's going to be on you to ship the kit to whoever you bought it from and sort it out yourself.

However....if you were to have issues awhile after it's installed.... they may not even remember that you purchased the kit from elsewhere and may work it out for you. Especially if you take it to a different Best Buy than you had it installed. Of course, this is all contingent on you having any problems anyway. Just in case. Insurance.
