OEM satnav hood wont open
Hey guys I was hoping somone here can help I recently bought an entire carputer from a guy here which arrived today but to my surprise all the original PCB,s are missing so basically the buttons do nothing cos there not connected anywhere and same for the motor.
So I was hoping somone could help and maybe advise me on how I can get this working again all I want is it to open and shut to the button no tilt or auto shut.
Am I asking to much or is there a genius out there who can help.

I'm a little confused.. The navigation hood does not have any pcb's with it at all? What about a screen, did the plastic come with a screen inside it? If so, is it the OEM screen or an aftermarket touch screen (lilliput, xenarc, etc.)? An aftermarket screen should definitely come with it's own PCB where the connectors for VGA, power, etc. hook up, although this would do nothing for getting the buttons to work.
It sounds like the buttons and motor/potentiometer wires have nowhere to connect to. Are there still the white connectors on the end of them, or were they cut off and are now bare wires?
It seems you will likely either have to source the OEM monitor PCB or another solution like the boards I made sometime back. Please respond back with a little more information for the questions above and we should be able to help you out further.

It had an after market screen in it with no other electronics apart from the buttons and the motor.
But it doesn't matter I hopefully have someone buying it of me and il just get another with all the parts I need it will end up with me more out of pocket but it will save the hassle .
thanks anyway
