Pass firewall no drilling needed

Running an 8 gauge amp wire from battery to trunk. Found an oval cutout in firewall near seam with fender about a foot away from the washer fluid container. It is taped over but a wire pokes
right through it. That same wire will also poke into the foot well on the inside of the car once the floor mats and carpet is out of the way. No pictures but in my case the wire came out just above a metal bracket on the side that curves around to the front foot rest area. Note that this is a car with no options so maybe some
cars use that cutout already.

ThankyouThankThankyou!

I used that one to route my radar detector wires. I completely missed that spot. Guess I can put the drill away now.

Thanks for the info. I am planning to install a sub in the trunk and it might come in handy, since I really don't want to do any drilling if possible.

Cool No problem....

There is no secret to getting thru the firewall....

Since it is also made to accomodate right-hand drive models, there is a huge (3") rubber access, where the steering column would go. It is between the engine and the washer fluid bottle, and comes out behind the glovebox.

Both the heater tubes and the a/c pipes use it, and there is plenty of space left for wires......
