Pass. seat foot space
i sat in the pass. seat of an rx8 and i found that there is a huge "bump" on the left, towards the center console.. and made me force in a slanted position.. im just wondering if this is on all rx8s.. or wut?

Yes, the "bump is on all rx8's. We people in Australia who drive on the opposite side of the road have it on the driver's side, and it means the pedals are offset slightly to the right which is a bit weird when you first drive the car.

I'm in the drivers seat in the LHD version, so it's fine with me. Actually one of its better aspects is that it's a nice footrest, and makes any girl in a skirt look twice as good. There I said it. This should be in the "little things" thread.

i didnt really pay attention to it, but is it possible to move the seat forward more and rest your foot over the bump??
and the main question is.. do you have to almost change the way you sit or position your legs to adjust it

That bump is for the catalytic converter.
My guess is the size was unavoidable in final design stages (and unanticipated in preliminary design stages).
It takes a good size cat close to the engine to meet Tier II federal regulations. (Don't get me started on the ridiculous extremes of Tier II...)
