Passenger seat flaw?

Hey guys,

Wanted to solicit experiences with the passenger seat foundation.. On the driver's side, there is a solid piece of plastic underneath the side/front lip of the leather seat. (GT) On the passenger side, the piece of plastic doesn't go all the way around the seat. This piece of plastic has a tendancy to pop out when weight is placed on the front right corner of the seat, like when a really big person gets in the car and plunks down. (Or when you lightly pull laterally on it) Does this happen to you?

It makes a pretty nasty crunch when someone sits on it. It pops back in easily though, without a 'pop'. You actually can't tell when it's back in from tactile response alone; just that when it's in, you can then audibly pop it back out again
