PIE Adapter was working fine: EX1 switched to EX - Now cuts off
I dug around for the answer to this question, but couldn't find it.
I successfully installed the PIE adapter this past weekend and it was working great with my XM Roady2 and my iPod. Today, the display didn't show EX1 like it used to. It now shows EX and cuts off after 15 seconds.
How do I get it switched back?
Thanks,
Steve

did you have the HU version 9.55 or higher? probably not...where did you buy the unit?
if you don't have 9.55 or higher (press the text button and preset 1 at the same time to find out) then you need it upgraded or a new HU all together
talk to thew (a vendor here) from rx8garage.net and talk to hi right now since the ability to upgrade is going to stop in the few days then wont start up for a few weeks
he is on his way to SEMA so hopefully you get a hold of him, he is the only one we know who can upgrade your unit

Happened to me
This happened to me as well. It's a simple issue - the connector at the back has gotten loose. You'll need to open her back up and make sure it's all pluged in again. I went through the same issue - was working fine with EX1 - then a friend yanked on it by mistake - went to EX and cut out after 30 s every time - replugged it and it's now been golden for a week.
Good luck !

Hi Guys. The same happened to me yesterday. I will try to toggle the disc button to see if that helps. If not , the I'll check the connector in the back of the unit. My icelink has the ipod 3g/4g base. I'm using the old hack method (Direct line) to get the sound out of the Roady.
Steve:
How can you use the Icelink to feed the satellite radio(RCA Connector)and the Ipod(Has a different connector)?
Thanks
Vinnie
