Problems with neo jukebox mp3 player

I had my 20 gig neo car jukebox installed by a local sound shop. Everytime i start my car when it is cold, the hard drive can not be read and i cant use any of the fm. Also even when the car is warm and the mp3 player is playing, there is no way i can turn off the remote and listen to the radio. 89.1 is the only fm i can use(which is my preset for mp3 player). I know what you are all going to say, but the shop is 30 min out of my way. Anyone have any ideas because it is really quite annoying because i spent 200 on something i can only use sometimes.

Thanks,
Rich

I think that's because the Neo does not receive sufficient power. I remember when I installed mine in the Probe, I was pulling my hair out because by just turning the ignition "on", the Neo always displayed an error message claiming that there is a hard drive error.
However, when I start the car, the power is then enough and I have no such problem.
I'm thinking you might have some power issue too. Since your Neo is not working even when the engine is running (right?), your best bet is still to go back to the shop and tell them to make sure the unit receives enough juice.
Out of curiosity, where did they mount the wired remote? Any photos?

The neo only works when the car is warm. When i start my car every morning forget about it. Yeah i'll take some pictures later on. It's where everyone puts the remote(in the ash tray).

Turn the power switch on the Hard Drive unit off. Then the power switch on the remote will allow you to turn it off. This can help with the cold hard drive too. After it's had a chance to warm up, try turning it back on. Also, it can assist with the power issue as well as you can reset after the "8" is started.

Hope that helps
