Hey guys, sorry if this has been discussed before, but I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for. I want a ProClip for my ipod and I know that I have to get the main clip that goes on the passenger side of the console. http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpa...d=&p_year=2004 Then, do I have to buy the mount made just for the ipod (http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpa...oryid=&p_year=) that sticks to the tape of the original console (the one that goes on the passenger side)? Also, I have a Motorola Razr phone and would like to do a horizontal mount (http://www.proclipusa.com/?sectionpa...oryid=&p_year= ) off to the right side of the ipod, if possible. Does anyone know if all this is required and/or if it is even possible? Thanks a lot for ya'lls help!

 

You have to buy the mount for the RX-8 and the specific ipod mount (it uses screws to attach not by tape) and you also need to buy a horizontal extender and a Razr specific mount as well.

You also need to get the specific mount for your ipod. Everything will cost about $100 or so with shipping.

The pasanger side mount has several screw holes allowing you to attach either one holder centered or two device holders side by side. It'll just be crowded...If I remeber tomorrow I'll take a pic and post it.

 

Proclip also sells a mount for the RX8 that attaches to the middle A/C vent . I have my nano there, link here . I also have the passenger console mount and have my Greddy E-01 (boost controller) installed there.

I think your idea of using the extender on the console would be better.

 

Hey I see alot of Pro Clip requests here. I am a dealer and can get you Pro Clips cheaper than the online prices.

Send me a few requests and I will let you know what I can do.

PS The side by side mounting bracket will be very crowded and the possibility of a passenger knocking the whole clip off with a well placed knee is very good.

I was looking for an iPod mounting solution and found this Proclip thing. It seems useful. I could buy the mount and then clips for my IPod, GPS, sat radio, etc. But wtf! From the pictures it looks like you have to screw the holder to the clip? What good is that? I thought the cool thing about this product was that i could clip whatever I wanted to use at any given time onto the holder. Am i seeing this right in JustinT's pic? It could have been a really cool system, but it's no better than any other dedicated mount.

Anyone else have Proclip pics/info?
