its not the filter, its the oil plate. There no leaks on the top part just the bottom of the oil plate. what sucks is the oil travels all the way down to the tranny and the under body bracing, its a pain to clean it all up over and over again.

prosport fail!

Wouldn't that be even more fail? gasket + RTV, I doubt that would create a good seal. Anyways update, I got my replacement oil plate adapter which I had to pay for to get it asap. I have to say, I am disappointment and at the same time I am not surprised. Either there some quality control issues at prosportgauges, or their products are just crap. I really don't like to hate, and I like the gauges (no issues so far), but man I feel like they didn't even bother looking at the replacement. After I spent some time talking to Glen (from prosport) on the phone expressing my issue with the leaky adapter, and him saying "oh I never heard that before," I feel more enraged. check out the pictures of my "replacement oil plate," that I had to pay for. The gasket looks like it was dragged accross sand paper, and one of the holes for the sensor seems to be cross threaded. I spent alot of time/money trying to figure the issue. if it was the filter I was using, or maybe it was another leak. alas I still end up with a puddle of oil everywhere I park. epic failure

Former 8 owner here. I just finished installing these gauges in my 5.0, loved them on my 8 and love them on my 5.0. Question though, Due to routing of the water temp sensor the wire will end up being about 1 foot short. I have two options, 1. take a more direct route which doesn’t look as clean. 2. Splice in wires to extend it, though I think this idea my jack up the sender? 3. See if they have longer wires. What do you guys think?

extending the wires should be fine. Solder wires if possible, make sure you have a very good connection.

extending the wire is ok. It does not affect the reading.

You can extend the wires, I pretty much made my own harness and extended all the wires. Only thing, I'd recommend getting the water adapter / oil plate from racing beat. I'm using the racing beat water adapter (have to get a 1/8 adapter), it splices in the hose that goes to the heater core, so you get an instant reading. I know the other water adapters splices the hose under the battery tray (top radiator hose), and there is no water til operating temp. So you get inaccurate readings the first 5-10 minutes of starting your car. As far as the oil plate from prosport, use lots of teflon and tighten everything down and hope it doesn't leak. I had 2 replacements, Glenn at prosport has been helping me out throughout my entire ordeal, and I really appreciate that. Prosportguages has great customer service, its just that specific oil plate lacks quality. On the other hand, the prosport EVO gauges rocks, looks awesome great price, I'm totally in love with them i'll post some videos soon .

The water sensor wire was long aenough afterall. My fellow 5.0 owners are loving the gauges. A few may be converted to prosport. Video of the gauges and my new ride. I do miss my 8

Glen, nice seeing you again at the Bostons meet. You gotta take me for a ride in that silver bullet you have one day

Anyway, Like I mentioned to you when I saw you, I am going to be looking into getting a new gauge pod very soon. When I get one, I will be driving over to your office to pick up the gauges.

Love what you guys do.

oh, and my oil adapter plate works perfect, sorry for your troubles Junirol

Just found out my wife ordered me The premium oil temp, oil pressure, water temp, egt, fuel pressure, and digital dual intercooler temp for my birthday. I'm f*#king stoked! I already have the premium boost gauge and AEM wideband in my dual vent pod. I have the Lotek pod and she is getting me the racing beat pod.

Only one thing that is bugging me. All the premium gauges are amber/ white, which I love cause it matches the dash, but the intercooler temp gauge is blue and digital... I'm sure I'll live with it but why no red intercooler temp gauge?

Good question... we are looking into it. It depends on how well sales go of the Blue ones.

I too had the same problem, I ended up getting some O-rings from the auto part store. After that i found the plugs leaking since there is additional ports for other accessories. Double and triple check these little plugs...they need to be really tight! Also I reccomend buying some TFE paste and putting that on the threads, available at any local hardware store.

I had problems with the adapter leaking too (didn't use any type of thread lock or sealant). I have my feed, line pressure gauge, and temp gauge running off of it. I tried the paste but it seemed to be a waste of time. I just used some plumbers tape and tighted everything down nice a firm. no problems anymore
