question about stock head unit + Kenwood CD Changer
I want to keep my stock head unit and i was just given a Kenwood 10Disc changer, would it be possible(w/o costing much) to hook the changer up to the stock unit? the stock unit does not have the 6disc changer. and how hard is it to hook up subs+amp to the stock head unit? i have the amp and sub, but i want to hook them up myself, i had best buy hook up subs in an old car of mine and they did a TERRIBLE job at it

the port on the back of the head unit is technicaly for a cd changer but never seen anyone use it for that, nor do i know what type of adapter would be needed to make it work with other cd changers

Adding a sub isn't that bad, you can hook a line output converter to the rear deck speaker lines and drive the sub off them, but for your car's sake, take it to a qualified car audio shop. Best buy may train their employees how to connect the wires correctly (most of the time) but that doesn't mean they train their installers in how to properly tune and balance a system, or give them the time to do it.
