questions about remote start
For a car thats manual, and wants to use the remote start feature from the Viper Alarm System, what are the pros and cons of the clutch bypass needed to start the car remotely. Will the clutch bypass affect performance or does it only mean you wont need the clutch when starting your car? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

That bypass circuit is only there to bypass the "step-on-the-clutch-to-start" feature (which obviously you won't be doing remotely) and has no effect on the rest of the car.

make sure that you hook the neutral safety wire (small guage black wire/white stripe) from the 5 pin harness on the brain of the remote start system to the neutral safety on the transmission so that if you leave it in gear it will not try and start

Would this work for the upgraded key thing where I don't use a regular key to start the car? I just need the chip to be in the car to start it. And when my engine is already on the alarm buttons on the side of my car that I use to lock and unlock be disabled? If so how would I bypass that to use the buttons on my door handle to lock and unlock normally? Its also a 6spd manual. Sorry but I did a search and didn't find anything on this for my car. Maybe that's why people don't install remote start on models like mine?
