Quick amp/speaker/sub question

I have Infinity Speakers all the way around--is there any merit to getting the same brand amp and sub? Or is it purely for aesthetics. I am leaning toward a polk/momo 8" sub and an Alpine amp--or should I get the Infinity 6 channel and an Infinity Sub?

The only advantage I see to the Infinity amp is that I can have a wired Bass tuner for the interior of the car--the Alpine doesn't appear to have this option--but you can tune it from the top which is good--because I plan on mounting the amp in the floor of my trunk. Besides Alpine amps are very reliable.

There's no merit to getting the same brand of everything(amp, speakers, sub) because people mix & match those components all the time.It is purely for aesthetics.
