Quick Headunit question

Hey, I'm in the process of wiring up my Sirius to a modified Tape/MD 1/8" output. I was looking under the dash to take out the bolt for the headunit, and it appears there is no bolt. I can see the two lower bolts that are clearly not involved with the headunit, then I see a hole where a 10mm bolt could easily fit, about 2-3" above the lower bolts. I got the car used, so it's conceivable somebody worked on it before.

Questions:
a) am I really missing a bolt, or just blind/stupid?
b) if I'm missing the bolt, is it a problem?

Thanks for any input,
Noah

The bolt is sometimes "missing" You don't need it. I dropped it when I took my bolt out and the head unit is fine and secure.
