I would wait a couple of months. Navteq claims that new map DVDs will be released this summer. If that really happens, then the nav system will be worth it. Otherwise I would go with an aftermarket nav system.
If you decide to go with an aftermarket system, then I would call Mazda and Navteq and let them know about your decision. Maybe it will help motivate them in the future.

The factory nav integrates with the interior the best. Some people have gone to great lenghts and expense to add it. Aftermarket navs perform well but to me they always seem "added on"
