Quick Question on Metra

I've read many threads regarding the audio system and metra install on Bose RX-8s. My question is related to using a new headunit with factory Bose, some people reccomending using cut RCA cables to the metra harness, if I go this route what do I do with the sheilding/ground on the RCA? Oh and also why is there a 2 rear left pos wires on 2 sepereate connectors as part of the metra kit?

I chose to go the route of wiring to the speaker level outputs of the radio since soldering to RCAs can be a bit of a pain, it certainly sounds good but has a slight hiss. In another thread someone suggested installing as Scosche OEA4 between the HU and the Bose amp. I will be installing it in the trunk right before the amp and now just need to find the correct wires to splice for the 4 channels.
