Radio Mute Button
Does anyone use the radio mute on the steering wheel? I find it much easier to tap the big vol/power **** and simply turn the stereo off. I don't even have to look for it. I've tried using the mute button and always find myself taking my eyes off the road.

I use it all the time, I have had more expensive cars that had no mute button so I am glad to have it. Like others have said, I wish would pause the MP3 or CD if playing one.
One thing that I found that was neat: if you mute with the button you can un-mute by just turning the volume **** (either way)! So I pull up to the drive through and hit mute, now as I pull around the wheel is turned and the mute button is no longer under your thumb - just reach over and give the volume **** a little turn and the tunes return.
I AM tired of the blinking "1" using the aux in with my XM SkyFi2. Seeing it blink all the time sure gets old....

I hardly ever use the controls on my steering wheel - I think they are a little awkward since I have to actually take my hand off the wheel, too small, and I'm constantly looking down to see which one I'm hitting. The big volume **** on the dash is so easy to hit without even a glance so I usually just turn it down that way. A couple of my pontiacs (the dark years) had steering wheel controls and they were located so you could keep your hands on the wheel and hit them with your thumbs. Big buttons too.
This is one of the very few things that I do not like about the 8, but the dash controls are positioned so nicely that it's not something I even really think about.

but its good there are options, that way people can perform the same function in the way that best suits them. me, i adjusted to the steering wheel controls in about 10 seconds after sitting in the car the first time. this is the first car i've had with them, so its not even something that i was used to before. and now, when i drive a car without the controls, its really odd to me.
