I'm not a DIY-er; there's no way I can pull the head unit, etc. and connect up one of the enable-MP3-iPod-etc.-in-RX8 aftermarket products. So I'm looking for a pointer to a reliable provider in the Bay Area (and I'm in Pacifica, would LOVE someone nearby) who could set me up.

I'm in Pacifica (Manor) too -- maybe I've spotted you.

I know of a handful of installers that are local and will take on odd jobs here and there. They hang out on the local forums. PM your contact info to me and I will pass it on for you.

 

I never heard from any installer types so today I went to Motor Music in Daly City (well reviewed on Yelp and nearby). Very strange, he really did NOT want the job and so he gave me a line about how the parts to do this are rare and he can't get ahold of them (?!!!) and I should just go to the dealer.

Since we know that this just isn't true, right, then he was blowing me off, for some reason. Makes me wonder WHO is interested in doing this job, sadly I'm no DIYer...

 

Go to audio design in san jose on first st. They do all my audio work and are top notch.
