Remote turn-on for those with Bose
Question for you all. Getting a remote turn on for your aftermarket amps. I realize you can tap off any acc power plug (rear cig lighter is recommended), but those with the Bose system should have some other easier options correct? Measuring with my DMM at the Bose harness, I noted that the yellow/white (very end of harness) and pink/black (second from opposite end) wires are hot only when the key is in the acc mode. Makes no difference if the headunit is on or not. Anybody know what exactly these two wires are for? I've already hacked the harness up to run to my LC6i, what's one more wire?

IMO, I would still just tap in to the rear cig lighter... I dont think you want to pull current from the bose amp... Tapping into the rear lighter isnt that big of a deal. I can have the whole center console out in 5 min...

I have a wiring diagram, it doesn't spell out what those wires 'do', just that they run between the head and amp.
I would use 'em for remote turn-on, it is usually a very small current but that's just me - it's your car, your risk.

Reason I'm asking is
I swapped my amp with a higher wattage and I'm having a problem.
The amp wont power ON but the overload LED is ON so its sensing an overload.
Fix is I've installed a switch for the remote power..I think the amplifier need more delay to turn ON.
I'm running the remote power from the cigarette lighter..
