Replace or add tweeters?
I am looking to replace or add tweeters. I would prefer to add 3/4 tweeters. I have searched the forums and found many ideas. Right now I would prefer not to add another amp, I will in the future. In one thread someone wired additional tweeters in parallel with the stock Bose tweeters. Is the change in resistance okay for the Bose amp?

Looks like you have the Bose, and then this would work for you.
(I did for me)

They are Image Dynamics and work great, one minus on them are that a very small wine is heard, very small almost unnoticeable but it's there...)
Cost about 100$ and they can be used later when you upgrade the system....

Thanks Modena. I took the 1" Kenwood tweeters out of my MX6 and installed them in place of the Bose tweeters. I also used the Kenwood crossovers (3 khz if I remember) . I removed the door panels to mount the crossovers and installed the tweeters behind the existing grill cover for a stock look. It sounds sooo much better! I still need more power though. I have a Kicker 12 inch sub in a sealed enclosure that I custom made and its just too much bass. I still would like to use ths "midrange" Bose tweeters and add 3/4" tweeters but I need to find a way to add another amp.

10mm polymer dome for autosound, very small
I piggy-backed these microtweeters inside the stock housing, in front of the stock mid/tweeter with a small ball of epoxy (hot glue also a good idea). Audax Model TM010A1 at $8.75 each. Crossed them over at ~6000Hz using a 6.8uf cap.
Seamless, fast install with NO cutting or modifications. They are very very small and sound perfect. The tweeter is manufacture by Audax, well respected speaker manufacturer specializing in high end applications.

hot glue is never a good idea when trying to mount something in a car because when hot glue gets hot, what does it do but melt. in a car it is easy to get above 120 degrees F on a summer day. use the epoxy

Never say never...
It all depends on the softening point (temperature that the glue melts at) of the hot glue you use.
