Rockford Fosgate Amps? What do u guys think?
Im looking into buying a rockford fosgate P800.4 (800 Watt/4 Channel) amp.
Specs: 100w x 4 @ 4 Ohms RMS
200w x 4 @ 2 Ohms RMS
400w x 2 @ 4 Ohms Bridged RMS
This amp is selling for just $400 even though on the rockford fosgate website the MSRP is listed at $799.99. Is this a good deal? Im not too familiar with rockford fosgate amps so anyone with some experience i would definately value your opinion. I am planning on pushin 2 12'' subs. I have been looking at this amp for a couple of days now and i think its a really nice looking amp. I want a really clean looking setup in my RX and i think this one will really go along with what i plan to do. The specs also seem pretty good but im just wonderin if im gettin my moneys worth.

I bought my first RF system when the original Punch 45 & 150 came out close to 20 years ago. I have used them quite a bit over the years and am still using the an older RF amp & subs that I took out of my last vehicle. I got away from them when I had some nicer systems, but went back when I needed bulletproof equipment for my Wrangler.
With all of that being said, I think there are better sounding/performing amps for the money, but they make solid equipment. So if you like the looks, it should meet your needs pushing the proper subs.
