Roof lining trim / beading

Roof lining trim / beading
First post here (from South Africa), so hello all...
I have a 2006 RX-8 "Hi-Power" which had its windscreen replaced yesterday. On the way home tonight I noticed the roof lining just above the top of the windscreen looked rather tatty (not to mention dirty thumb prints all over the roof lining).
On further inspection I noticed there was no beading / trim bordering the lining. Now, I'm fairly sure it had some trim bordering it before, just like the trim round the cut-out of the sunroof. Either it did, or I am completely imagining it.
I looked at the back window and there was no trim there either. Looking at the roof lining toward the rear window there were more dirty thumb marks, so it looks like they've had the entire roof lining out just to replace the windscreen?!
In summary then... I am right eh, the trim / beading is missing?

Really? Honestly could sworn it did have? I really just looks like it's unfinished... I can't believe in all the years I've owner if I've not noticed it. It really does look like something is wrong though. Perhaps I should post a pic. I'll pop down to a dealer today anyway... not that that's likely to do any good - useless the lot of 'em.
