Rubber Wire tube for the Front Door
Has anyone been able to access the rubber hose that carries the wires from the car into the front doors? I was trying to tap into the speaker level outputs for the 9" speakers and run them to my subs, but was unable to get into the stupid rubber grommet/hose that gets them into the car. There seems to be some lame plastic connecter that only the Mazda gods know how to work.
The door speakers in the Bose system get the front and rear speakers sub signals via some bridged input system. 4 wires go toward the speaker and are spliced into two by the time they reach the speaker. Very Strange.
Also, just a side note, that speaker is the dumbest looking thing I have ever seen.:D

the RX8 wires going into the doors are clipped in. Then the door wire can be unclipped and the whole door removed. There is a way though and will take awhile. Within the wire clip are some empty spots. The installer who did my window modules for the alarm ran the wire through the empty holes in the clip. I believe he had to drill out the hole just a bit. It took him quite a while to get this done.
