Hey Guys,
I bought a pair of H7 HID bulbs for my 2005 RX-8 and they did not fit, they were really lose in the socket in which they were suppose to go. My buddy who is a mech. told em that the bulbs were universal and that rx-8's have to come with a conversion kit of somesort. So I was just wondering what HID Kit you guys bought for your RX-8's. Thanks guys much appreciated.

stock HID bulbs are D2S bulbs

 

Yeah, they are D2S type, your H7s won't come close.

The good news is that you can get 'em on ebay for about $15 a set, in the color of your choice.

But aren't those LED's not HID's?

 

i believe he is talking about a kit.... did your rx8 come with hids or no??

 

No they diddnt, standard bulbs

 

then you cant just drop in an HID bulb they require ballasts to work

got the right bulb but i think the wattage has to be 35w not 55w, id recommend v-leds tho http://www.v-leds.com/Exterior-HID/D...-p9225431.html
