Cool! I was hoping they would help since they didn't for me. I have to get the right ones next week.

I would be interested in seeing the "complete" schematics as well.
I wonder if we spoke to the service guys at the Mazda dealership inquiring about this, if they would photocopy the pages from the FSM with the schematics.
Anybody making a trip to the service department soon?

The power for the bose system is RMS. I have a source at bose who confirmed this and I have personally seen the CAD specs for the RX8. Cant post them, but I've seen them. I have them on my other laptop at home so I can get exact specs later if people care, but i will not post them as I promised my source

I remember now:
Front
Left = 25 watts
Center = 25 Watts
Right = 25 Watts
Right Door Woofer = 100watts
Left Door Woofer = 100watts
Rear
Left = 12.5 watts
Right = 12.5 watts
The rears are Coaxial, so they count them each as two speakers making 4 in the rear, giving a system total of 9 speakers.
Total RMS System Power = 300 watts
Front
Left = 25 watts
Center = 25 Watts
Right = 25 Watts
Right Door Woofer = 100watts
Left Door Woofer = 100watts
Rear
Left = 12.5 watts
Right = 12.5 watts

I think you have the rear and the fronts mixed. The rear speakers are 2 ohm speakers so I would have to guess they would actually make the 25 watts.
The little 2" speakers in the doors likely couldn't handle 25 Watts anyway.
The door woofers values make sense. (It is a .5 ohm woofer with a non-BTL 12V class-D amp driving it.)
The total RMS system power of 300 Watts does not make sense. The whole system uses a 20 Amp fuse. With 14.4 Volts for the battery, 20 amps of input power means a MAXIMUM of 288 Watts input to the Bose system so the output can't be 300 Watts even with very high efficiency. The A/D's, DSP's and Microprocessors are all going to need power. Also, the woofer amps might be 80% efficient but the other speakers will be lucky to be 60% via the standard grade BTL amps that drive them. (I have pictures and part numbers of all the components at home. It is not that complicated of a system)
All channels driven is likely to be in the 200 Watt RMS. Any more constant draw and you will likely blow a fuse.

I will double check the specs when I get back to my house later this week. As for the total RMS, I dont disagree with you, but I doubt at any given point, the entire system would be driven to max power. Anyways, Ill look at the specs later this week and repost from the Bose CAD files.

I found an old thread:https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...6&page=1&pp=15
It apprears Mr. Wiggles, Myself, and a few others had this same conversation a while back. My old posts were based on the CAD/Tech drawings from Bose and THEY claim 12.75 watts per speaker in the rear and 25 watts RMS for each of the three up front. Without tapping the line with a multi-meter, I dont know who is right...I am just going by the specs direct from the manufacturer. Man...I still miss my old car stereo with my Eclipse amp :-(
