Second head unit?

Second head unit?
Is it possible to add a second head unit (like above the stereo or something) and switch between the two? I am looking to hook up my iPod as well as have complete bass control over my amp and subs, and I realized recently that I have a very nice Eclipse head unit laying around...why don't I see if I can install that? I want to keep the stock head unit because it looks nice, but does anyone know how to even begin to go about doing this? I'm pretty electronically adept, so I plan on doing all the work myself.

There are numerous threads on different ways to go about this. If you do a few searches, you will see a bunch of them. Everyone has a different opinion on which way is the best. Several vendors have stuff in the works. Still pretty pricey for now. Oh yeah, put on your fire suit, you will probably get flamed for asking this question AGAIN. Good Luck!

Thanks for that, forbidden. I've already acknowleged this in the previous post ;-) Perhaps you could help me to find a thread about this. I did a couple searches and have been able to turn up nothing. I'm not being sarcastic- I just want to get some info. Thanks!
