Great post !
I will measure during the install..
but just to check, running the ground from 2 amps directly to the battery should be all the ground needed ?
Thanks,

When I have some time free I'll be taking many build up pics of the RX8 we are working on. I am in the midst of 2 25K systems at the same time right now and it has bogged me down. No time to work on my headunit issue until Friday. (broke my soldering iron)

That's a handful to handle! Are you the owner of the shop or you're the head installer?Where are you located Forbidden.Would love to see your work. You seem to have a lot of knowledge on car audio. Are those 2 25k systems going to be IASCA competition cars?

I am the owner of Forbidden Audio Ltd. in Courtenay, British Columbia, Canada. We are located on the East coast of Vancouver Island. I am also a custom installer but am more at home out front dealing with customers. (at 220 lbs, I don't fit under dashboards very easy anymore). Neither vehicle is for competition, just customers who enjoy good sound and quality work.

Can I please get some more pictures or info on that custom dash piece. I am going to start making mine tomorrow. How much would your installer want to do just that LCD mount on the dash?

Sorry for the delay, the installer wasn't in this Sunday & I was out drinking Wednesday to Saturday celebrating my birthday.I will get you the details asap but probably this thursday is when I'll have time to drop by the shop.I 'll ask him about the price if he wants to make another one.Right now he's just focusing on finishing my car.

Well, after finally having some time to work on my customers RX8, we have solved the relocation issue. Next one will be a snap, now onto the custom dash bezels for the Eclipse dvd and the top bezel for a Dakota Digital guage pod and a Focal center channel.

Good things come to those that wait patiently. I have a second big project to get out of the way first and of course I need to ensure that posting pics of my customers vehicle is alright with him.

Here's one of the last two peices that finally builted.Picture of glove compartment holding PS2. The last piece that's going to be built will be a tunel piece for the triangle shape of that fiberglass trunk cover of second picture, it'll be neons around the peice to illuminate the rear portion of the trunk.

The one I have here has been here for almost 3 weeks now and we have solved some issues with it but have dreamed of more new ideas at the same time. We have to clear the Expedition we are completing first before we can attack the RX8 again, pics coming soon.
